Location Session Details
The Location Session Fee is $275. This includes lighting setup (if required) and about one hour for our shoot. I’ll post process and in a couple of weeks you’ll be able to view, select, and download your images from your client gallery. The time is yours, and you may change outfits, reset and adjust our setup, or just about anything else in that time.
Location sessions can be scheduled for one hour ($275), two hours ($450), three hours ($600), half day ($800), or full day ($1400) shoots. A rough estimate of the number of proofs to view is 4 – 8 proofs produced per hour of shooting. But this depends greatly on your goals for the session and intended use of the images.
If you’d like to purchase images for download, prints, or any of the many products we offer, you will be able to do that from your client gallery. Prices are marked in the online store for each of the items we offer.
What to Expect
Before we sign a contract, we’ll either meet or video conference. You need to know what to expect from me, and I need to know what you want from the shoot. For a location shoot that’s new to me, I’ll need to visit the site, make some notes, and determine site requirements such as fees, permits, local ordinances, or facility rules. If you want me to provide site ideas, I can do that too. Costs associated with sites such as permits and fees become part of the contract. After visiting the site, we will meet once again to finalize the details and organize a photo shoot plan.
Once we’ve worked out a shoot plan, I’ll send a contract to you. When you’ve signed and submitted the deposit, we will schedule the location, if that’s required, and book the shoot. Once the session is scheduled, the deposit is non-refundable. Please see my Terms and Conditions for deposits, weather, fees, permits, and scheduling.
On the day of the shoot, we’ll meet at the location. If you’ve chosen to have a stylist, they will be there ready to work. When hair, makeup, and wardrobe are complete, the set will be ready to start shooting. We will use the shoot plan as guide and we’ll go from there for the amount of time that you’ve booked. For shoots over two hours, there will be breaks in the schedule.
Depending on workload, your proofs will be ready to view in a private online gallery in 3 – 6 weeks. I strive to meet a three-week turnaround goal, but due to scheduling and workload I cannot always meet that. Once your images are finished, your client gallery will be the way that you can download images and order prints and other products. The client gallery will be available for at least 30 days after the images are uploaded. You’ll also have the option to keep your gallery open for up to one year.
