In Studio and On Location
The Session Fee starts at $350. We’ll shoot for about an hour in the studio. That time is yours and you may change outfits, setup, backgrounds as often as you’d like. Seniors, check out some special Senior Portrait Packages by clicking here.
Once we’re done in the studio, we’ll travel to your location site. Site setup is included as well, and I’ll take a few minutes to ensure that the site is prepared and any required lighting is configured properly. We’ll shoot here for about two hours. Once we are finished and I’ve downloaded images to my workspace, I’ll post process and in a couple of weeks you’ll be able to select and download your favorite 15 images.
If you’d like to purchase additional images for download, prints, or any of the many products we offer, you will be able to do that from your client gallery. Prices are marked in the online store for each of the items we offer.
What to Expect
Before we sign a contract, we’ll either meet or video conference. You need to know what to expect from me, and I need to know what you want from the shoot. We’ll discuss the goals for the in-studio session and for our time on location. For the location portion of the shoot, I’ll need to visit the site if I’ve not worked there before. I’ll make some notes and determine site requirements such as fees, permits, local ordinances, or facility rules. If you want me to provide site ideas, I can do that too. The client will be responsible for all permits and fees. After visiting the site, we will meet once again to finalize the details and organize a photo shoot plan.
Once we’ve worked out a shoot plan, I’ll send a contract to you. When you’ve signed and submitted the deposit, we will schedule the studio time and the location if it’s required, and book the shoot. Once the session is scheduled, the deposit is non-refundable. Please see my Terms and Conditions for deposits, weather, fees, permits, and scheduling.
On the day of the shoot, we’ll typically meet at the studio. If we’ve arranged for a stylist, they will be there ready to work. When hair, makeup, and wardrobe are complete, the set will be ready to start shooting. We will use the shoot plan as guide and we’ll go from there for our studio time. Then we’ll drive to your site. The overall duration of the shoot will require some breaks in the schedule.
Depending on workload, your proofs will be ready to view in a private online gallery in 3 – 6 weeks. I strive to meet a three-week turnaround goal, but due to scheduling and workload I cannot always meet that. Once your images are finished, your client gallery will be the way that you can download images and order prints and other products. The client gallery will be available for at least 30 days after the images are uploaded. You’ll also have the option to keep your gallery open for up to one year.
